FAQs

Why Beeswax?

Burning beeswax candles help pull toxins from the air, ionizing the air around them. They are soot free, and burn extremely clean. With little to no drip, pure beeswax candles truly create a beautiful ambient light, setting a warm + inviting tone throughout any room that they may reside in. All beeswax that Wild Ritual uses is sourced locally, within a 25 mile radius from our home studio. We hold great joy and comfort in knowing that the bees producing this golden wax come from local farms and local beekeepers. Supporting the bees, and the folks that tend to them, are an important factor in the equation of how Wild Ritual operates, and respectfully, for our future.

Why tapers?

Made of 100% Pure Canadian Beeswax, tapered candles are a great source for instilling everyday light into the home. Crafted with pure cotton wicks, alongside loving and healing intentions, each candle is created through the traditional method of hand dipping, gradually building up to the desired size, dip by dip. Not only do they look beautiful, but hand dipped candles are a great option for getting an optimal burn time, burning more smoothly due to the layering in the wax, promoting an even and clean burn. Tapered candles also allow for more light to illuminate off of the candle, as the wax melts below and away from the flame and not around it, sharing the brightest light possible!

Where do we get our Plant Medicines?

For the last 10+ years, Monika has immersed herself in gardening, tending to, and listening with the plants. A lot of our plant medicines come from from our home garden, as well as being consciously foraged for and wild crafted in the local surrounding areas of Orangeville, Ontario, Canada. When we are not able to grow our own or forage, Wild Ritual will source locally from suppliers who have produced their plant medicines ethically and sustainably.
